What to put on a delivery order
A delivery order, or DO, is the customer's proof of what arrived and your proof that they received it. Keep the signed copy until the invoice is paid.
- A DO number and date: so the signed copy matches the invoice later.
- Where it's going: the customer's name, delivery address, and who will receive it.
- The invoice or purchase order number: if the customer gave you one.
- Each item and quantity: with units such as pcs, boxes or m. Prices aren't needed.
- Sign-off boxes: one for whoever delivered and one for whoever received the goods.
- Notes: such as "Please check the goods before signing".

Delivery order questions
What is a delivery order?
It goes with the goods. It lists what was delivered, and the customer signs it to confirm everything arrived in good condition. It usually has no prices, because those go on the invoice.
Can I make the invoice from the delivery order?
Yes. After you download, tap Make the invoice for this delivery. The invoice page opens with the same customer and items, so you only add the prices.
Is this delivery order template free?
Yes. There's no signup and no watermark. You can switch off the small chatavocado line at the bottom of the PDF.
Can I get this as a Word or Excel file?
No, it makes a PDF. Your business details are saved on this device, so next time you only add the customer and items.
Where are my details stored?
Everything stays in your browser. After you download, your business details and next DO number are remembered on this device. Customer details and items are never saved, and you can clear the saved details at any time.
Can I write the items in Chinese?
Yes. If your delivery order has Chinese text or emoji, the tool opens your browser print window instead of downloading straight away. Choose Save as PDF to keep it.
